Some Korean DVDs are manufactured as "All Region" discs that are compatible with DVD players from any region. DVDs are programmed according to regional codes: 1 - North America, 2 - Japan and Western Europe, 3 - Korea and Southeast Asia, 4 - South America and Australia, 5 - Africa, Eastern Europe and Russia, and 6 - China. The DVD format is capable of offering enhanced picture quality and sound, subtitles which can be turned on or off, and extra features such as trailers and video essays.
